2026-05-02RDMA/mana: Fix error unwind in mana_ib_create_qp_rss()Jason Gunthorpe1-1/+3

2026-05-02RDMA/mana: Fix mana_destroy_wq_obj() cleanup in mana_ib_create_qp_rss()Jason Gunthorpe1-5/+4
Sashiko points out there are two bugs here in the error unwind flow, both related to how the WQ table is unwound. First there is a double i-- on the first failure path due to the while loop having a i--, remove it. Second if mana_ib_install_cq_cb() fails then mana_create_wq_obj() is not undone due to the above i--. 2026-05-02RDMA/mana: Remove user triggerable WARN_ON() in mana_ib_create_qp_rss()Jason Gunthorpe1-2/+3
Sashiko points out that the user can specify WQs sharing the same CQ as a part of the uAPI and this will trigger the WARN_ON() then go on to corrupt the kernel. Just reject it outright and fail the QP creation. 2026-05-02RDMA/mana: Validate rx_hash_key_lenJason Gunthorpe1-0/+3
Sashiko points out that rx_hash_key_len comes from a uAPI structure and is blindly passed to memcpy, allowing the userspace to trash kernel memory. Bounds check it so the memcpy cannot overflow. 2026-03-30RDMA/mana_ib: Disable RX steering on RSS QP destroyLong Li1-0/+15
When an RSS QP is destroyed (e.g. DPDK exit), mana_ib_destroy_qp_rss() destroys the RX WQ objects but does not disable vPort RX steering in firmware. This leaves stale steering configuration that still points to the destroyed RX objects. If traffic continues to arrive (e.g. peer VM is still transmitting) and the VF interface is subsequently brought up (mana_open), the firmware may deliver completions using stale CQ IDs from the old RX objects. These CQ IDs can be reused by the ethernet driver for new TX CQs, causing RX completions to land on TX CQs: WARNING: mana_poll_tx_cq+0x1b8/0x220 [mana] (is_sq == false) WARNING: mana_gd_process_eq_events+0x209/0x290 (cq_table lookup fails) Fix this by disabling vPort RX steering before destroying RX WQ objects. Note that mana_fence_rqs() cannot be used here because the fence completion is delivered on the CQ, which is polled by user-mode (e.g. DPDK) and not visible to the kernel driver. Refactor the disable logic into a shared mana_disable_vport_rx() in mana_en, exported for use by mana_ib, replacing the duplicate code. The ethernet driver's mana_dealloc_queues() is also updated to call this common function. 2026-03-30RDMA/mana_ib: cleanup the usage of mana_gd_send_request()Konstantin Taranov3-173/+31
Do not check the status of the response header returned by mana_gd_send_request(), as the returned error code already indicates the request status. The mana_gd_send_request() may return no error code and have the response status GDMA_STATUS_MORE_ENTRIES, which is a successful completion. It is used for checking the correctness of multi-request operations, such as creation of a dma region with mana_ib_gd_create_dma_region(). 2026-02-21Convert 'alloc_obj' family to use the new default GFP_KERNEL argumentLinus Torvalds4-8/+8
This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using git grep -l '\<k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' | xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/' to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL argument to just drop that argument. Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered: they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically. For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate conversion. Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2026-02-21treewide: Replace kmalloc with kmalloc_obj for non-scalar typesKees Cook5-11/+10
This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union object instances: Single allocations: kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...) Array allocations: kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...) Flex array allocations: kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...) (where TYPE may also be *VAR) The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning "TYPE *". Signed-off-by: Kees Cook <kees@kernel.org>

2025-08-13RDMA/mana_ib: Drain send wrs of GSI QPKonstantin Taranov3-0/+32
Drain send WRs of the GSI QP on device removal. In rare servicing scenarios, the hardware may delete the state of the GSI QP, preventing it from generating CQEs for pending send WRs. Change mana_get_primary_netdev_rcu() to mana_get_primary_netdev(), and return the ndev with refcount held. The caller is responsible for dropping the refcount. Also drop the check for IFF_SLAVE as it is not necessary if the upper device is present. 2025-03-08RDMA/mana_ib: Use safer allocation function()Dan Carpenter1-1/+1
My static checker says this multiplication can overflow. I'm not an expert in this code but the call tree would be: ib_uverbs_handler_UVERBS_METHOD_QP_CREATE() <- reads cap from the user -> ib_create_qp_user() -> create_qp() -> mana_ib_create_qp() -> mana_ib_create_ud_qp() -> create_shadow_queue() It can't hurt to use safer interfaces.
