Pull networking deletions from Jakub Kicinski:
"Delete some obsolete networking code
Old code like amateur radio and NFC have long been a burden to core
networking developers. syzbot loves to find bugs in BKL-era code, and
noobs try to fix them.
If we want to have a fighting chance of surviving the LLM-pocalypse
this code needs to find a dedicated owner or get deleted. We've talked
about these deletions multiple times in the past and every time
someone wanted the code to stay. It is never very clear to me how many
of those people actually use the code vs are just nostalgic to see it
go. Amateur radio did have occasional users (or so I think) but most
users switched to user space implementations since its all super slow
stuff. Nobody stepped up to maintain the kernel code.
We were lucky enough to find someone who wants to help with NFC so
we're giving that a chance. Let's try to put the rest of this code
behind us"

Similar to the hamachi driver, the yellowfin driver supports hardware
that is over two decades old and no longer in active use.
Since yellowfin was the last remaining driver in the packetengines
vendor directory, we can now safely remove the entire directory and
drop its associated references from the parent Kconfig and Makefile.
This eliminates dead code and reduces the overall maintenance burden
on the netdev subsystem.

The PacketEngine Hamachi driver is for PCI hardware that has been
obsolete for over two decades. It recently triggered arithmetic
exceptions during automated fuzzing.
As suggested by maintainers, remove the driver entirely to eliminate
dead code and reduce the maintenance burden.

Remove the ATM protocol modules and PCI/SBUS ATM device drivers
that are no longer in active use.
The ATM core protocol stack, PPPoATM, BR2684, and USB DSL modem
drivers (drivers/usb/atm/) are retained in-tree to maintain PPP
over ATM (PPPoA) and PPPoE-over-BR2684 support for DSL connections.
The Solos ADSL2+ PCI driver is also retained.
Removed ATM protocol modules:
- net/atm/clip.c - Classical IP over ATM (RFC 2225)
- net/atm/lec.c - LAN Emulation Client (LANE)
- net/atm/mpc.c, mpoa_caches.c, mpoa_proc.c - Multi-Protocol Over ATM

Remove the amateur radio (AX.25, NET/ROM, ROSE) protocol implementation
and all associated hamradio device drivers from the kernel tree.
This set of protocols has long been a huge bug/syzbot magnet,
and since nobody stepped up to help us deal with the influx
of the AI-generated bug reports we need to move it out of tree
to protect our sanity.
The code is moved to an out-of-tree repo:
https://github.com/linux-netdev/mod-orphan
if it's cleaned up and reworked there we can accept it back.
Minimal stub headers are kept for include/net/ax25.h (AX25_P_IP,
AX25_ADDR_LEN, ax25_address) and include/net/rose.h (ROSE_ADDR_LEN)
so that the conditional integration code in arp.c and tun.c continues
to compile and work when the out-of-tree modules are loaded.

Remove the "michael_mic" crypto_shash algorithm, since it's no longer
used. Its only users were wireless drivers, which have now been
converted to use the michael_mic() function instead.
It makes sense that no other users ever appeared: Michael MIC is an
insecure algorithm that is specific to WPA TKIP, which itself was an
interim security solution to replace the broken WEP standard.

PCMCIA is almost completely obsolete (the last computers supporting it
natively were from ~2009), and the general consensus [1] seems to be
that support for it should be gradually removed from the kernel.
In 2023, an initial step of removing all the PCMCIA char drivers was
taken in commit 9b12f050c76f ("char: pcmcia: remove all the drivers"),
and that has not been reverted, so it seems logical to continue this
process by removing more low-hanging fruit.
These host controller drivers have had no meaningful changes since
their status was discussed in 2022 [2], and are unlikely to have any
remaining users. Remove them and a couple references to them
in comments.
The i82365 and tcic drivers are for ISA-attached host controllers,
which are even less likely to be used nowadays than ones on other buses.
The i82092 driver has almost certainly not been used in over 20 years.
It was broken by a null pointer dereference since the dawn of Git
history (2.6.12-rc2 in 2005) until someone fixed it in 2021 in commit
e39cdacf2f66 ("pcmcia: i82092: fix a null pointer dereference bug").
From their dmesg log [3], it is clear they were testing in an emulated
environment and not on real hardware.
i82365.h is used by drivers other than i82365 and is therefore retained.

The s2io driver supports Exar (formerly Neterion and S2io) PCI-X 10
Gigabit Ethernet cards. Hardware supporting PCI-X has not been
manufactured in years. On x86, it was quickly replaced by PCIe. While
it stuck around longer on POWER hardware, the last POWER hardware to
support it was POWER7, which is not supported by ppc64le Linux
distributions. The last supported mainstream ppc64 Linux distribution
was RHEL 7; while it is still supported under ELS, ELS is only
available for x86 and IBM Z. It is possible to use many PCI-X cards in
standard PCI slots (which are still available on new motherboards), but
it does not make sense to do so for 10 Gigabit Ethernet because the
maximum bandwidth of standard PCI is only 1067 Mbps. It is therefore
highly unlikely that this driver is still being used. Remove the
driver, and move the former maintainer to the CREDITS file (restoring
credit for the vxge driver, which was removed in commit f05643a0f60b
("eth: remove neterion/vxge").

HIPPI has not been relevant for over two decades. It was rapidly
eclipsed by Fibre Channel, and even when it was new, it was
confined to very high-end hardware. The HIPPI code has only
received tree-wide changes and fixes by inspection in the entire
Git history. Remove HIPPI support and the rrunner HIPPI driver,
and move the former maintainer to the CREDITS file. Keep the
include/uapi/linux/if_hippi.h header because it is used by the TUN
code, and to avoid breaking userspace, however unlikely that may be.

Support for this board was removed with

Update loongson1_defconfig to reflect recent Kconfig changes:
- Replace CONFIG_MTD_NAND_LOONGSON1 with CONFIG_MTD_NAND_LOONGSON,
since commit 7a1e3a452a57 ("mtd: rawnand: loongson1: Rename the
prefix from ls1x to loongson").
- Enable CONFIG_ETHTOOL_NETLINK, since commit 9ff2aa4206ef ("net:
ethtool: mm: extract stmmac verification logic into common library")
makes STMMAC_ETH depend on it.
In addition:
- Enable CONFIG_JUMP_LABEL to allow optimized static branch handling.
- Disable unnecessary options.
- Enable CONFIG_TEST_DHRY as a module.

Remove ansi_cprng, since it's obsolete and unused, as confirmed at
https://lore.kernel.org/r/aQxpnckYMgAAOLpZ@gondor.apana.org.au/
This was originally added in 2008, apparently as a FIPS approved random
number generator. Whether this has ever belonged upstream is
questionable. Either way, ansi_cprng is no longer usable for this
purpose, since it's been superseded by the more modern algorithms in
crypto/drbg.c, and FIPS itself no longer allows it. (NIST SP 800-131A
Rev 1 (2015) says that RNGs based on ANSI X9.31 will be disallowed after
2015. NIST SP 800-131A Rev 2 (2019) confirms they are now disallowed.)
Therefore, there is no reason to keep it around.

In 3.7, 8250 was unintentionally renamed to 8250_core. This happened in
the commit 835d844d1a28 (8250_pnp: do pnp probe before legacy probe).
This made 8250.<xxxx> module options effectively defunct. Instead,
8250_core.<xxxx> worked.
In 3.9, the commit f2b8dfd9e480 (serial: 8250: Keep 8250.<xxxx> module
options functional after driver rename) made the original options work
again by introducing a hack.
Later in 3.9, the commit 9196d8acd7f9 (TTY: 8250, revert module name
change) changed the module name back to 8250 (from 8250_core). Since
then, the hack was there to support the transient 8250_core.<xxxx>
options. Those were present only in the 3.7..3.9 range.
These transient options were deprecated by 9326b047e4fd (TTY: 8250,
deprecated 8250_core.* options) in v3.9 too.
Now, after those 12 years, it is time to get rid of this hack
completely.

Commit d6ace46c82fd ("ext4: remove obsolete EXT3 config options")
removed the obsolete EXT3_CONFIG options, since it had been over a
decade since fs/ext3 had been removed. Unfortunately, there were a
number of defconfigs that still used CONFIG_EXT3_FS which the cleanup
commit didn't fix up. This led to a large number of defconfig test
builds to fail. Oops.

Pull crypto library updates from Eric Biggers:
- Add a RISC-V optimized implementation of Poly1305. This code was
written by Andy Polyakov and contributed by Zhihang Shao.
- Migrate the MD5 code into lib/crypto/, and add KUnit tests for MD5.
Yes, it's still the 90s, and several kernel subsystems are still
using MD5 for legacy use cases. As long as that remains the case,
it's helpful to clean it up in the same way as I've been doing for
other algorithms.
Later, I plan to convert most of these users of MD5 to use the new
MD5 library API instead of the generic crypto API.
- Simplify the organization of the ChaCha, Poly1305, BLAKE2s, and
Curve25519 code.
Consolidate these into one module per algorithm, and centralize the
configuration and build process. This is the same reorganization that
has already been successful for SHA-1 and SHA-2.
- Remove the unused crypto_kpp API for Curve25519.
- Migrate the BLAKE2s and Curve25519 self-tests to KUnit.
- Always enable the architecture-optimized BLAKE2s code.

Enable the following options by default:
- CONFIG_SERIAL_OF_PLATFORM
- CONFIG_RTC_DRV_LOONGSON
- CONFIG_LOONGSON1_APB_DMA
- CONFIG_MTD_NAND_LOONGSON1
- CONFIG_SND_LOONGSON1_AC97
Also disable unnecessary options.

Instead of exposing the mips-optimized MD5 code via mips-specific
crypto_shash algorithms, instead just implement the md5_blocks() library
function. This is much simpler, it makes the MD5 library functions be
mips-optimized, and it fixes the longstanding issue where the
mips-optimized MD5 code was disabled by default. MD5 still remains
available through crypto_shash, but individual architectures no longer
need to handle it.
Note: to see the diff from arch/mips/cavium-octeon/crypto/octeon-md5.c
to lib/crypto/mips/md5.h, view this commit with 'git show -M10'.
