2016-08-12bpf: fix bpf_skb_in_cgroup helper namingDaniel Borkmann1-2/+2
While hashing out BPF's current_task_under_cgroup helper bits, it came to discussion that the skb_in_cgroup helper name was suboptimally chosen. Tejun says: So, I think in_cgroup should mean that the object is in that particular cgroup while under_cgroup in the subhierarchy of that cgroup. Let's rename the other subhierarchy test to under too. I think that'd be a lot less confusing going forward. [...] It's more intuitive and gives us the room to implement the real "in" test if ever necessary in the future. Since this touches uapi bits, we need to change this as long as v4.8 is not yet officially released. Thus, change the helper enum and rename related bits. 2016-08-09cxl: Use fixed width predefined types in data structure.Philippe Bergheaud1-2/+2
This patch fixes a regression introduced by commit b810253bd934 ("cxl: Add mechanism for delivering AFU driver specific events"). It changes the type u8 to __u8 in the uapi header cxl.h, because the former is a kernel internal type, and may not be defined in userland build environments, in particular when cross-compiling libcxl on x86_64 linux machines (RHEL6.7 and Ubuntu 16.04). This patch also changes the size of the field data_size, and makes it constant, to support 32-bit userland applications running on big-endian ppc64 kernels transparently. mpe: This is an ABI change, however the ABI was only added during the 4.8 merge window so has never been part of a released kernel - therefore we give ourselves permission to change it. Soft RoCE (RXE) - The software RoCE driver ib_rxe implements the RDMA transport and registers to the RDMA core device as a kernel verbs provider. It also implements the packet IO layer. On the other hand ib_rxe registers to the Linux netdev stack as a udp encapsulating protocol, in that case RDMA, for sending and receiving packets over any Ethernet device. This yields a RDMA transport over the UDP/Ethernet network layer forming a RoCEv2 compatible device. The configuration procedure of the Soft RoCE drivers requires binding to any existing Ethernet network device. This is done with /sys interface. A userspace Soft RoCE library (librxe) provides user applications the ability to run with Soft RoCE devices. The use of rxe verbs ins user space requires the inclusion of librxe as a device specifics plug-in to libibverbs. librxe is packaged separately. 2016-08-03IB/core: Support for CMA multicast join flagsAlex Vesker1-1/+8
Added UCMA and CMA support for multicast join flags. Flags are passed using UCMA CM join command previously reserved fields. Currently supporting two join flags indicating two different multicast JoinStates: 1. Full Member: The initiator creates the Multicast group(MCG) if it wasn't previously created, can send Multicast messages to the group and receive messages from the MCG. 2. Send Only Full Member: The initiator creates the Multicast group(MCG) if it wasn't previously created, can send Multicast messages to the group but doesn't receive any messages from the MCG. IB: Send Only Full Member requires a query of ClassPortInfo to determine if SM/SA supports this option. If SM/SA doesn't support Send-Only there will be no join request sent and an error will be returned. ETH: When Send Only Full Member is requested no IGMP join will be sent. 2016-08-02IB/hfi1: Allow for non-double word multiple message sizes for user SDMAIra Weiny1-1/+1
The driver pads non-double word multiple message sizes but it doesn't account for this padding when the packet length is calculated. Also, the data length is miscalculated for message sizes less than 4 bytes due to the bit representation in LRH. And there's a check for non-double word multiple message sizes that prevents these messages from being sent. This patch fixes length miscalculations and enables the functionality to send non-double word multiple message sizes. 2016-08-02rapidio: add RapidIO channelized messaging driverAlexandre Bounine2-0/+79
Add channelized messaging driver to support native RapidIO messaging exchange between multiple senders/recipients on devices that use kernel RapidIO subsystem services. This device driver is the result of collaboration within the RapidIO.org Software Task Group (STG) between Texas Instruments, Prodrive Technologies, Nokia Networks, BAE and IDT. Additional input was received from other members of RapidIO.org. The objective was to create a character mode driver interface which exposes messaging capabilities of RapidIO endpoint devices (mports) directly to applications, in a manner that allows the numerous and varied RapidIO implementations to interoperate. This char mode device driver allows user-space applications to setup messaging communication channels using single shared RapidIO messaging mailbox. By default this driver uses RapidIO MBOX_1 (MBOX_0 is reserved for use by RIONET Ethernet emulation driver). 2016-08-02nilfs2: move ioctl interface and disk layout to uapi separatelyRyusuke Konishi2-0/+942
The header file "include/linux/nilfs2_fs.h" is composed of parts for ioctl and disk format, and both are intended to be shared with user space programs. This moves them to the uapi directory "include/uapi/linux" splitting the file to "nilfs2_api.h" and "nilfs2_ondisk.h". The following minor changes are accompanied by this migration: - nilfs_direct_node struct in nilfs2/direct.h is converged to nilfs2_ondisk.h because it's an on-disk structure. - inline functions nilfs_rec_len_from_disk() and nilfs_rec_len_to_disk() are moved to nilfs2/dir.c. 2016-08-02vhost: new device IOTLB APIJason Wang1-0/+28
This patch tries to implement an device IOTLB for vhost. This could be used with userspace(qemu) implementation of DMA remapping to emulate an IOMMU for the guest. The idea is simple, cache the translation in a software device IOTLB (which is implemented as an interval tree) in vhost and use vhost_net file descriptor for reporting IOTLB miss and IOTLB update/invalidation. When vhost meets an IOTLB miss, the fault address, size and access can be read from the file. After userspace finishes the translation, it writes the translated address to the vhost_net file to update the device IOTLB. When device IOTLB is enabled by setting VIRTIO_F_IOMMU_PLATFORM all vq addresses set by ioctl are treated as iova instead of virtual address and the accessing can only be done through IOTLB instead of direct userspace memory access. Before each round or vq processing, all vq metadata is prefetched in device IOTLB to make sure no translation fault happens during vq processing. In most cases, virtqueues are contiguous even in virtual address space. The IOTLB translation for virtqueue itself may make it a little slower. We might add fast path cache on top of this patch.
